UX/UI App Prototyping

An Emerging Media Design and Development Master's Program solo project

Etude (2026)

Etude is an app prototype designed to help young musicians learn effective practice techniques according to their instrument. This was a solo project developed over the course of 16 weeks.

Research

The problem space was found through personal experience as a musician and through primary research. A survey was conducted to discover needs, pain points, and potential user suggestions.

Problem

Testing participants commonly noted that it is difficult to hold themselves accountable to routines, exercise patience when learning new things, and assess their progress without other musicians present.
