This project involved a full site redesign of an existing strip mall in Muncie, IN. It includes a site inventory/analysis and a SketchUp-rendered model.
Physical Assessment
This assessment was performed by taking photos of the property, sketching, and completing additional research.
Zoning and Regulations
These codes were pulled from preliminary research and used to determine how to alter the property in a redesign.
Surrounding Context
The context was used to determine what could draw people to the area. People in the current strip mall provided recommendations according to their experiences.
Redesign
This is the SketchUp model of the tiered park added on to the strip mall. The park allows space for local businesses and for people who need to get away from the asphalt in that area of Muncie, IN.
